Why this is a scam

Nobody outside a platform can see whether your reach is limited, and nobody can sell it back to you. The "87%" is invented; precise numbers make a lie feel measured.

The free "ban checker" asks you to log in with your account to run the scan. That login goes straight to the scammer. The paid "recovery" simply takes your money.

Reach drops happen to every account. Scammers watch for creators worrying about it out loud, then arrive with a diagnosis and a price.

Red flags checklist

• A stranger claims to know your reach statistics; they can't.

• A fee to "restore" your reach or "remove" a ban.

• A checker tool that needs your password to run.

• Urgency: reach is "hidden right now" and every day costs you followers.

• The sender is a random account with algorithm words in its name.

The manipulation tactic

Anxiety and false precision. Exact percentages and dates make the problem feel real, and a worried creator pays to make a number go away.

What to do, and what not to do

• Don't log in to any outside tool to "check your status".

• Don't pay anyone to fix your reach; it isn't a thing that can be bought.

• Check your real account status inside the app's own settings.

• Report the DM as a scam and block the account.
