Flggd Scam School · Investment & Trading Scams · Lesson 3 of 19

You've received an exclusive investment invitation; early access, limited seats, before the public even hears about it. That feeling of being chosen is the product, and it's fake.

The message looks like this

Example of an exclusive early access investment scam invitation

Why this is a scam

Real investment platforms don't recruit founders by direct message, and they never gate "priority withdrawals" behind a deposit. Withdrawals aren't a perk; on real platforms they're a given.

The exclusivity is manufactured. Everyone gets the same "one of 40" invitation, because the goal isn't to fill seats. It's to collect starter deposits, then invent reasons you can't take the money back out.

Red flags checklist

  • You were "selected" for something you never applied to.

  • Early access requires a deposit to confirm your place.

  • Priority withdrawals are sold as a feature; that's backwards.

  • The platform has no regulator, no company address, no track record.

  • A small fixed number of seats, always almost gone.

The manipulation tactic

Exclusivity. Being chosen feels like status, and people protect a feeling of status by not asking hard questions.

What to do, and what not to do

  • Ignore the invitation; being selected by strangers is a sales tactic.

  • Never pay a deposit to "reserve" an investment seat.

  • Search the platform name with the word "scam" before doing anything.

  • Check the regulator's public register for the company; no listing, no money.

  • Don't share the invite with friends, even as a joke; that's how it spreads.
