The Crypto Deposit Request

The "job" is tapping buttons in an app, and the first requirement is putting your own crypto in. If a job asked you to deposit crypto to start earning, you've found a task scam.
The message looks like this

Why this is a scam
Employment moves money in one direction. Any "job" that needs your deposit first has reversed the arrow, and that reversal is the entire business model.
Task scams pay tiny real withdrawals early to prove they're "legit." Then a task "freezes" your account, and unfreezing needs a bigger deposit. Every deposit raises the stakes for the next one, until you stop, and everything is gone.
Red flags checklist
Any deposit, "activation," or "work wallet" funding requirement.
Tasks that produce nothing: boosting apps, liking videos, clicking listings.
Small early withdrawals that work perfectly.
Commission tiers that require progressively larger deposits.
Recruited by chat, no company name you can verify.
The manipulation tactic
Sunk cost. After the first deposit, every new demand is framed as the only way to get your earlier money back.
What to do, and what not to do
Never fund a wallet, tier, or account to receive wages.
Treat perfect small withdrawals as bait, not proof.
Stop depositing the moment an account "freezes"; more money never unfreezes it.
Save wallet addresses and chat logs, and report to ic3.gov.
Don't chase the balance shown in their app; it's a number on their screen, not money.
