Emergency steps

Do these now, in this order.

If money has just moved

1. Stop. Do not send anything else, and do not answer any more messages from them.

2. Call your bank on the number printed on your card or in your banking app. Do not use a number from the message, the email or the caller.

3. Tell them it is a scam and that you want the payment stopped or recalled. Say it in those words.

4. Change the password on the account involved, from a different device if you can.

5. Keep everything. The messages, the numbers, the screenshots. Do not delete them to feel better.

6. If they have your bank details or a document, treat your other accounts as exposed and change those passwords too.
