Who builds Flggd, and why it is structured the way it is.
Scams work on people rather than on systems. Banks see the payment. They do not see the conversation that led to it, which is where the damage is actually done.
Flggd exists to put something in that gap. People can check a message before they act on it. What they submit makes the next person's check better. And the patterns that emerge go back to the institutions that carry the loss.

Richard has spent more than 25 years building data and analytics products, mostly in financial services and anti-financial crime. He has worked with more than 300 banks, regulators and fintechs, and has held executive roles at AlertSpeed, SymphonyAI, Quantexa and Pitney Bowes. Products he has led have carried over $100 million in revenue, and he has taken one company through to exit.
He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. He is the son of two police officers.
He spent most of his career building tools for institutions. Flggd is the first thing he has built for the people those institutions are trying to protect.

Jasper has spent more than 30 years building scalable infrastructure, distributed systems and consumer applications. He has built platforms serving more than 40,000 retail locations, contributed to $20 million in revenue, and led engineering teams at inStream and PongSpace. His domain background is in identity and access management.
He holds a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. from Brown University, both in computer science, with a focus on machine learning and distributed systems.
He leads engineering at Flggd.
