Questions officers ask

Is it really free?

Yes. The kit, the monthly updates and the cards cost nothing, for every agency. Flggd convenes the network because better-informed residents mean fewer scams succeed.

Does this fit my agency's gift and endorsement rules?

The kit is free public-education material, offered on the same terms to every agency. It is provided to the agency, not to any individual officer, and nothing is asked in return. Flggd does not ask members for testimonials, quotes, photos or use of agency names, logos or insignia, and will not name any agency as a participant without that agency’s written permission. Participation does not mean an agency endorses Flggd. If you are unsure whether you can accept, check with your agency’s ethics officer before signing up

Does it replace the AARP or Postal Inspection material I already use?

No. It works alongside them. The talk points residents to the National Elder Fraud Hotline and the FTC and FBI reporting sites.

What happens to information residents give Flggd?

The kit and the talks collect no information from residents. Using Flggd is entirely optional. If a resident chooses to check a message with Flggd, that is between the resident and Flggd, not the agency, and is covered by Flggd’s privacy policy, which explains what is kept, for how long and why.

Can I change the slides?

Yes. Add your agency's name and number, and a local story if you have one. The monthly pack replaces only the examples section.
