What most people miss

Calling 1930 is step one. There is a step two.

The call to the national cybercrime helpline opens a complaint. It is not complete until the details are filed on cybercrime.gov.in.

Most people stop after the call. They are tired, upset, and think it is done. Report & Help tells you about step two before you call, and keeps the filing link in front of you afterwards until you mark it done.

1
Call 1930You get a complaint number by SMS, and a message asking you to complete the details online.
2
File on cybercrime.gov.inThis is the step most people never take. The guide keeps reminding you until it is done.

Ready for the call before you dial

The guide gathers what the 1930 operator will ask for, on one screen. Fill in what you have. Nothing is required, and nothing stops you calling.

Made for the worst hour of someone's day

One question at a time

Big buttons, short words, and nothing to read twice. Works with pinch-zoom and large text.

Lock them out first

If money left without your approval, the steps start with stopping access, so your account cannot keep losing money while you report.

The right door

A payment to the wrong number is not a crime. The guide sends it to your bank's dispute process, which can help.

The blame is theirs

Scammers are skilled at this. The words in the guide never put the fault on you.

Never charges you

Filing a cybercrime complaint is free. Anyone charging you to file one is a second scam.

Honest about limits

It does not judge any payee, block any account, or recover money. Acting fast and finishing the filing is what helps.
